Responsibilities

Review and assess the selection of evidence-based and therapeutically appropriate anticancer therapies.

Evaluate pathology reports, laboratory values, and concurrent medications for their appropriateness and potential medication-related issues.

Monitor, manage, and assess adverse reactions or toxicities from anticancer therapy.

Assess and oversee primary and secondary supportive care elements to be included in anticancer therapy protocols.

Serve as a subject matter expert for medication-related inquiries and provide preceptorship to pharmacy and medical students or residents.

Educate patients and caregivers on anticancer therapy, supportive care medications, symptom management, adherence, and safe practices for medication handling, administration, and disposal.

Collaborate with clinic staff to connect patients with MultiCare Specialty Pharmacy resources.
Requirements

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Washington State. If not currently licensed, must obtain a Washington State Pharmacist License within 90 days of employment.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a pharmacist in an oncology setting (required).

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (preferred).

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology (preferred).

BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) certification (preferred).
