Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Central Pharmacy team at our flagship hospital campus in downtown Jacksonville. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work across the Central Pharmacy, IV Room, and OR Satellite, gaining valuable hybrid and clinical experience. The role includes rotating weekend coverage every fourth weekend.
As a Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient preparation and distribution of medications, while also collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter and verify medication orders.

Review and approve technician-prepared medications prior to dispensing.

Supervise pharmacy technicians and participate in assigned committees.

Provide medication-related guidance and consultations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Monitor patient therapy and provide pharmacokinetic services as assigned.

Support operations across central pharmacy functions, including sterile compounding and OR medication management.
Qualifications:

Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.

Licensure & Certifications:

Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida (required)

Registered Pharmacist (required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (required)

Experience:
-
1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience (required)

Experience with automated dispensing devices and pharmacy information systems
