Position Overview

Decypher is currently seeking qualified Pharmacist professionals to join our team in support of the healthcare mission at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to service members and their families within a dynamic military healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the full scope of pharmacist duties, delivering pharmaceutical services that align with the facility’s personnel, supply, and equipment resources.

  • Provide expert patient counseling on medication use, ensuring clear communication regarding proper administration, potential side effects, and precautions.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient medication profiles at dispensing to monitor ongoing drug therapy, checking for dosage accuracy, potential drug interactions, allergies, therapeutic duplications, and age-appropriate dosing.

  • Intervene and communicate with prescribing providers when discrepancies or issues are identified to ensure optimal patient safety.

  • Compound medications as needed to meet patient-specific therapeutic requirements.

  • Guarantee the accuracy and quality of all pharmaceutical preparations produced or processed by pharmacy technicians.

  • Manage and supervise the pharmacy’s inventory control, particularly of scheduled (controlled) substances, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain meticulous records for all controlled substances, adhering strictly to applicable laws and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).

  • Experience: Documented pharmacy practice experience, preferably with at least one year of inpatient or outpatient pharmacist duties within the last three years.

  • Licensure: Possession of a current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy.

  • Certifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Background Check: Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.


Compensation

  • Salary Range: $84,000 to $128,000 annually (as estimated by Glassdoor)

  • Median Salary: Approximately $104,000 per year
