Job Summary
Responsible for accurately dispensing medications while ensuring patient education and safety. Manages daily pharmacy operations, communicates with prescribers, and provides patient-centered services such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Delivers exceptional customer service to all Price Chopper customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations.
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage prescription medications.
- Counsel patients and providers on drug usage, interactions, and side effects.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, provide training, and uphold company policies.
- Participate in patient wellness programs, immunizations, and MTM services.
- Engage in business development within the store and community.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Complete required continuing education and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
- Immunization Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with pharmacy computer systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license (subject to monitoring).
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (5-year program).
- Ability to manage staff and resolve customer concerns efficiently.
