You will be providing healthy lifestyle advice and health services to our patients by delivering on all aspects of the Dispensing role including ordering medicines, labelling and endorsing with appropriate claims.

To provide fantastic patient care as an ACT you will work across the healthcare counter and the dispensary to where the patients’ needs you most, offering advice on medication, identifying any medicine related problems and bringing those to the attention of the Pharmacist.. This is often a fast-paced environment in which you will interact with many different people and will be a core member of the pharmacy and healthcare team.

You will be complying with legal and professional requirements and Company SOP’s, ensuring accurate handling and dispensing on all medicines. It is your responsibility to supervise the pharmacy technician(s) and wider dispensary team to ensure everyone is carrying out their duties correctly and safely. With regards to stock control, ensure stock is received in accordance with SOP’s, ensure stock is stored appropriately and safely and maintain reasonable stock levels within the dispensary.

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy service skills and pharmaceutical service.

Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and compliant with standards for pharmacy service. (current live registration and maintain ongoing)

Experience of working in a community pharmacy, ideally with experience of using Pharmacy Manager software

Working NHS Smartcard
