Job Overview:
This position offers an opportunity to develop the skills and abilities of a Pharmacist while attending Pharmacy school, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves a variety of tasks, with responsibilities outlined below:
Responsibilities:

Accept customer and prescription information, including refill authorizations, from customers and doctor’s offices (20%).

Fill customer prescriptions accurately and efficiently (20%).

Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues (10%).

Learn and utilize Rite Aid’s computer system for inputting customer and prescription data (10%).

Provide prompt service by assisting customers and operating the cash register (5%).

Offer healthcare counseling and assistance with medical-related inquiries (5%).

Stay informed about over-the-counter medications (5%).

Understand and follow company policies and procedures (5%).

Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department (5%).

Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and customer follow-ups (5%).

Ensure quality assurance compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations (5%).
