Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, hands-on physical therapy treatment and maintain accurate documentation in patient records.

Conduct thorough evaluations and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Administer interventions aimed at reducing pain, enhancing strength, improving mobility, and restoring functional independence.

Perform and document key assessments, including range of motion (ROM), strength testing, sensory evaluation, and functional assessments.

Fit and provide orthotic devices for the upper extremities (finger, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder), as necessary.

Reevaluate patient progress at least every 30 days and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Select appropriate CPT codes and ensure accurate billing for all services.

Adhere to insurance and documentation requirements for compliance and reimbursement.

Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Support physical therapy students during clinical rotations, as applicable.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and organizational events.

Assist with operational needs, including flexible scheduling or working at alternate clinic locations as needed.

Maintain all required licensure, certifications (including CPR/BLS), and continuing education as outlined by state and company standards.
Qualifications:

Active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Maryland.

Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Previous experience with orthotics is a plus.

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and accurate clinical documentation.

Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

Excellent communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.

Familiarity with CPT coding, insurance requirements, and documentation best practices.
