About the Role
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides skilled therapy services and educational support to patients and their caregivers in alignment with the established treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering hands-on therapy to patients based on the treatment plan.

Accurately document patient progress in compliance with state and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, continuous care.

Serve as a mentor for therapy aides and students, offering guidance and clinical instruction.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new services.
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.

Current PTA license from the Oregon Physical Therapy Licensing Board (Temporary permits accepted per state regulations).

BLS certification (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Capacity to assess patient conditions and make informed clinical decisions.
Physical Therapist (PT)
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing personalized treatment plans, and guiding them toward optimal recovery.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations using medical records, interviews, and observations.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Modify treatment approaches as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.

Provide clinical supervision to therapy assistants, students, and aides as needed.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Oregon Physical Therapist license (or eligibility upon hire).
-
BLS certification (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
