Position Overview
Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the Park Slope clinic on 5th Avenue. We welcome both experienced clinicians and recent graduates who are eager to begin their careers in a supportive, high-performing environment. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and collaborative teamwork.
As a Spear therapist, you’ll be responsible for clearly communicating clinical expectations, delivering evidence-based treatments, and providing supportive resources such as individualized Home Exercise Programs. Your ability to combine expert care with empathetic service will help foster lasting outcomes and meaningful relationships with patients.
Qualifications

Valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of New York

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy

Physical Demands
The physical demands of the role align with industry norms and include:

Routine lifting of 5–35 lbs from floor to overhead

Carrying loads of 5–10 lbs for up to 50 feet

Pushing/pulling loads of 5–150 lbs using assistive devices

Sustained gripping (1–2 minutes at 40–50 lbs)

Assisting and guarding patient lifts of up to 120–140 lbs
