Responsibilities

Job-Specific Tasks include:

  • Perform a full range of physical therapy services within scope of clinical privileges

  • Plan and implement individualized treatment programs based on patient evaluation

  • Provide manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, traction, and exercise-based rehabilitation

  • Educate, motivate, and assist patients with functional activities and use of assistive devices

  • Document care, progress, and treatment adjustments in patient records

  • Collaborate with physicians and other health care staff for integrated patient care

  • Conduct prevention and wellness activities, screenings, and patient education

Additional Duties include:

  • Provide oversight to PT assistants, aides, and students

  • Participate in rehabilitation team meetings, seminars, and quality reviews

  • Conduct Return-to-Duty examinations and analyze program effectiveness

  • Fit and adjust orthotics/prosthetics, providing discharge recommendations as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

    • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (or Baccalaureate for graduates prior to Jan 1, 2002).

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years within the last 5 years in outpatient orthopedic or sports PT.

  • Licensure: Current, full, active, unrestricted physical therapy license.

  • Certification: AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

  • Security: Must pass a Government background check/security clearance.
