Physical Therapist

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and implement therapy programs for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, burn/wound, or other physical disabilities. The goal is to relieve pain, restore functioning, and promote independence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess patients’ functional abilities and limitations

  • Develop treatment plans and establish goals based on evaluations

  • Implement physical therapy procedures, equipment, and techniques

  • Participate in wound management (e.g., debridement, dressing, splinting)

  • Recommend and justify adaptive equipment

  • Re-evaluate patients and recommend discharge when appropriate

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home programs, and prevention

  • Evaluate home/work environments for modifications or ergonomic needs

  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records

  • Supervise aides, assistants, students, and volunteers

  • Participate in training, quality improvement, and professional development

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to deliver safe and effective patient care

  • Strong human relations and communication skills

  • Knowledge of safety protocols, body mechanics, and ethical guidelines

  • Ability to adapt to rotating work areas, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts

  • Familiarity with patient care for different age groups

Qualifications

Licenses Required

  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential (within 30 days of hire)

  • Current Utah Physical Therapy license, or multi-state PT Compact license (within 90 days of hire if relocating)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with acute and chronic care therapy in healthcare settings

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients or equipment

  • Frequent standing, climbing, crouching, and other physical activity

  • Exposure to infectious diseases, behavioral health patients, and confined spaces
