Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment to restore function, prevent disability, and maximize independence for patients with disabilities, disease, or injury.

Organize and conduct medically prescribed therapy programs.

Direct and supervise physical therapist assistants and students.
-
Recognize stroke symptoms, call stroke alerts, and follow stroke alert processes.

Complete consults and reassessments within 24 hours of admission or once medically stable.
-
Stay current on stroke knowledge through required annual training.
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (B.S., M.S., or approved certification program).

Licensed in the state of Florida.

BLS certification (AHA required).
