Physical Therapist Assistant

About the Role

ProgressiveHealth, a premier provider of occupational and non-occupational health services, is seeking an energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at a local automotive facility in Smyrna, TN. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide treatment that restores function, relieves pain, and prevents disability for employees with work-related or orthopedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out and review the plan of care provided by the Physical Therapist.

  • Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to injured employees.

  • Complete required documentation per company, state, and federal regulations.

  • Support employee health, safety, and recovery in an industrial environment.

  • Strong interest and knowledge in ergonomics and orthopedics.

  • Energetic, dependable, and professional demeanor.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and clinical skills.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem solve.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Emergency response experience preferred.

Education & Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Active state PTA license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • CPR/AED/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before employment).

  • Strong professionalism in written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic databases.
