Position: Physical Therapist Manager (PT)

The Physical Therapist Manager at SpineZone is responsible for overseeing and safely managing the core spine strengthening programs for each patient. This role involves motivating and guiding patients to consistently apply the strengthening techniques to maximize both immediate and long-term benefits of the SpineZone program.

As the designated SpineZone clinical team member, the Physical Therapist leads the initial intake and development of care plans for patients at one or multiple SpineZone locations. The primary focus is delivering high-quality, day-to-day rehabilitative care. Supervision and clinical oversight of support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Spine Rehabilitation Specialists (SRS), are managed directly by the Physical Therapist with guidance from the Clinical Director (CD).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct oversight and leadership to all clinical staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations addressing musculoskeletal, neurological, and other physical impairments.

  • Design, implement, and interpret individualized physical therapy treatment programs tailored to patient needs.

  • Maintain and adhere to standardized clinical protocols specific to the SpineZone program.

  • Administer MedEx or DAVID equipment testing, effectively instructing patients in their use.

  • Promptly address clinical concerns related to PTAs and support staff.

  • Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and referring healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary patient care.

  • Accurately document patient encounters using the EHR Portal System, ensuring timely communication of clinical documents (e.g., initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries) to referring providers.

  • Assist patients enrolled in the Maintenance Program as needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workout and clinic areas.

  • Meet or exceed clinical key performance indicators (KPIs) with a minimum productivity rate of 85%.

  • Participate in bi-weekly educational webinars and team meetings to stay current on best practices.

  • Ensure portal dashboards are up-to-date with timely follow-ups.

  • Complete daily billing tasks within Athena and manage appointment scheduling, message retrieval, and patient communication.

  • Collect copayments and fees prior to treatment sessions.

  • Comply fully with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and engage positively with patients.

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Licensure Requirement:

  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $88,110 – $110,000 (dependent on experience)

  • Exempt, full-time position
