Physical Therapist – Clinical Gait Analysis Lab

We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join our Clinical Gait Analysis Lab. In this role, you will provide evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy interventions for patients from infancy through adulthood. Clinical gait analysis is a cornerstone of our work—helping multidisciplinary care teams develop customized treatment strategies and assist in pre-surgical planning for patients with mobility impairments caused by cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, brain and spinal cord injuries, or other neuromuscular conditions.

As a Physical Therapist in our program, you’ll not only deliver individualized care but also collaborate closely with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced therapy techniques while contributing to life-changing improvements in patient mobility and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with families and care teams to set and monitor goals.

  • Deliver advanced interventions such as serial casting, Lokomat, sensory integration, aquatics, and adaptive equipment recommendations.

  • Monitor progress and adapt treatment as needed.

  • Document care thoroughly for medical and billing purposes.

  • Educate and support patients, caregivers, and families.

  • Participate in staff development, student training, and specialty clinics.

  • Serve as a clinical resource in complex patient cases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (required).

  • Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Texas.

  • At least one specialty certification such as:

    • BC-PCS – Pediatrics Clinical Specialist (ABPTS)

    • CCPOD-NDT – Cerebral Palsy & Neuromuscular Disorders (NDTA)

    • CBIS – Certified Brain Injury Specialist (ACBIS)

    • ATP – Assistive Technology Practitioner (RESNA)

    • CHT – Certified Hand Therapist (HTCC)

    • CLT-LANA, CLT-ACOLS, or CLT-NSLT – Certified Lymphedema Therapist

    • CNT – Certified Neonatal Therapist (NTCB)

    • BC-NCS – Neurology Clinical Specialist (ABPTS)

    • Or another recognized specialty certification (see full list).

Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in pediatric and neuromuscular rehabilitation.

  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Strong communication and patient education skills.

  • Flexibility in problem-solving complex clinical cases.
