Job Summary
Beacon Health System is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our rehab team. In this part-time role, you will evaluate patients, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver physical therapy interventions to restore function, prevent disability, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life following illness, injury, or surgery. Reporting to Therapy Department Leadership, you will serve as both a direct care provider and a clinical resource for patients, families, staff, and interns, while modeling excellence in practice.

What You’ll Do
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will:

Complete patient assessments based on physician orders or direct access evaluations.

Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with functional, measurable goals.

Modify plans as patients progress, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Communicate with physicians regarding updates or changes in therapy.

Oversee and supervise therapy assistants in accordance with state practice acts.

Begin discharge planning at the initial evaluation stage.

Provide education to patients and families using appropriate language and resources.
In addition, you will support department operations by meeting productivity standards, collaborating with colleagues across disciplines, and assisting with program development, performance improvement, and compliance initiatives.
Documentation is a vital part of this role. You will complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries on time, ensuring accuracy to support billing and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Current Indiana Physical Therapist License.

State-Issued Driver’s License.

Current BLS (CPR) certification.

Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and rehab equipment.

Strong communication skills with patients, families, and physicians.

Physical ability to assist patients safely, including lifting up to 35 lbs independently and performing manual therapy techniques.
Working Environment
This role is based in a pediatric rehab setting, requiring regular standing, walking, and patient support. You may be exposed to infectious diseases, and strict adherence to safety protocols and protective measures is essential.
