Physician (Independent Contractor) – San Jose, CA
Chenega Tri-Services is seeking a 1099 Independent Contractor Physician to provide medical evaluations, including histories, physical examinations, and reviews of medical tests and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct medical histories and physical exams.

Assess medical documentation and determine applicant fitness for service.

Apply medical standards for accession and military suitability.
-
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and military policies.
-
Maintain professionalism and applicant dignity in all interactions.

Participate in local medical peer reviews.
Qualifications:
-
MD/DO from an LCME- or COCA-accredited medical school.

Residency training accredited by ACGME or AOA OR recent direct patient care experience (within the last 3 years).

Unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.

ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must include hands-on training).
Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in electronic medical documentation.

Strong communication, judgment, and decision-making abilities.

Knowledge of various medical specialties, including internal medicine, OB/GYN, orthopedics, mental health, and more.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-based with exposure to electronic medical systems.

Occasional physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

May involve exposure to extreme temperatures, airborne particles, or loud noise during operational visits.
