About the Job
Whitman-Walker Health is seeking a compassionate, experienced physician to provide high-quality primary care to adult and adolescent patients with chronic and acute conditions. This role emphasizes team-based, culturally sensitive care for a diverse patient population, in alignment with Whitman-Walker’s mission of dignity, respect, affirmation, and humility.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver integrated, patient-centered care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting

Provide preventive, urgent, and chronic condition care based on primary care standards

Conduct physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans

Accurately document care and code visits per insurance guidelines

Coordinate with behavioral health, legal, and nutrition teams for comprehensive care

Participate in educational, quality improvement, and policy development initiatives

Supervise and mentor healthcare trainees and students

Contribute to clinical research, journal clubs, and community education
Qualifications

MD or DO with DC medical license

Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds

Experience with LGBTQIA+ communities and individuals living with HIV preferred

Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus

Strong commitment to culturally competent care
