Position Overview:
RQC, LLC is actively hiring experienced Commercial Pipefitters with brazing experience to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. As a Pipefitter on this federal project, you’ll be responsible for the planning, assembly, and installation of piping systems while ensuring strict compliance with all relevant safety and building codes.
All work will be performed on a secure military base, and compensation will follow Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and install mechanical piping systems on active construction sites

Perform brazing and other pipefitting techniques per job specifications

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Conduct underground pipe installation and system startup procedures (e.g., boilers, chillers)

Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance at all times
Qualifications:
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
4+ years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience (commercial, industrial, or facilities setting)

Mechanical pipe installation and deep underground piping experience
-
Experience with system startups and energizing (boilers, chillers)

Valid welding certificate
Preferred:
-
Pipefitter license or journeyman card

Government, military base, or large commercial construction experience

Brazing and HDPE pipefitting experience
-
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certification (training provided if needed)
