Job Summary
Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter Helper to join our maintenance team. This is a full-time position requiring hands-on support for pipefitters and pipe fabricators in industrial settings. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically fit, and able to work in challenging environments with a wide range of tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with cutting, threading, and hammering pipes using tools like saws, torches, and pipe threaders

Help drill holes in walls and surfaces to install piping systems

Select pipe types and sizes based on job specifications

Mount pipe hangers, brackets, valves, couplings, and fittings

Disassemble and remove worn or damaged pipe sections

Work while wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, harnesses, rain gear, and FR clothing

Perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, and working at heights

Follow safety guidelines and collaborate with the team to complete assignments efficiently

Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications

No minimum education required

6+ months of experience in an industrial environment (preferred)

Must pass drug screening and background check

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship offered)
