Position Summary

Provide leadership and supervision for youth in before and after school programs.

Encourage participation in enrichment activities, including arts & crafts, recreation, nature walks, swimming, and character development.

Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment while following all YMCA policies and procedures.

Foster positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and fellow team members.

Support the YMCA’s mission and core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility.
Schedule
-
Shift 1: 6:45 AM – 9:00 AM
-
Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Essential Responsibilities
-
Supervise program participants and ensure safety at all times.

Plan and lead group activities aligned with YMCA curriculum.

Maintain activity areas, equipment, and supplies.

Assist with set-up, clean-up, and snack preparation.

Provide excellent customer service to families and school partners.

Verify authorized pick-ups and follow child safety procedures.

Attend staff meetings and required training.

Serve as a positive role model for children and families.
Qualifications
-
At least 16 years old.
-
Prior experience working with children preferred.
-
CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (must be obtained before employment).

Ability to work with diverse populations.

Energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic about youth development.
