Position Overview
The Campus Management Section is hiring a Plumber to maintain plumbing systems in NYPD facilities.
Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain pipes, drainage, and plumbing systems.

Install plumbing equipment, fixtures, and piping systems.
-
Prepare applications, reports, notices, and related documentation.

Maintain work records and communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following:

Five years of full-time satisfactory plumber experience within the last ten years.

Three years of plumber experience plus additional helper/apprentice experience or approved trade school/technical training (NYSED, NYS DOL, USDOL, or recognized apprenticeship council).

Each year of helper/apprentice experience or approved schooling = 6 months of plumber experience (up to 2 years).

Additional Requirements:

Must be permanent in the Plumber title.

Must possess a valid New York State driver license at the time of appointment and maintain it throughout employment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Residency Requirement

NYC residency required within 90 days of appointment.

Employees with 2+ years of continuous City service may live in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
