Job Summary
The School District of Waukesha is seeking a Journeyman or Master Plumber with at least five (5) years of experience. The successful candidate will provide plumbing maintenance services and perform various tasks that support the efficient operation of district facilities.
Essential Functions

Assist in developing the plumbing budget.

Maintain plumbing supply inventory.

Prepare specifications for contracted plumbing services.

Perform plumbing work assigned by the Director of Facilities, managers, and supervisors.

Coordinate services with other district plumbers.

Collaborate with other maintenance trades.
-
Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, administration, and the public.

Safely complete tasks across multiple district locations.

Keep accurate records and reports.

Maintain equipment and supplies.
-
Contribute to energy conservation efforts.

Demonstrate motivation, self-direction, and a positive work ethic.

Serve as a positive role model.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Qualifications
-
Journeyman license required.

Minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience in school, commercial, or industrial settings.

Competency in both maintenance and new installations.

Knowledge of construction techniques and safety standards.

Strong organizational and public relations skills.

Ability to work effectively across various maintenance trades.

Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Lift/push/pull up to 90 lbs.; with assistance, move items over 200 lbs.

Work performed indoors and outdoors in all weather; may involve close quarters with temperatures above 100°F.
