Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Plumber to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will handle new installations, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across City facilities, ensuring plumbing systems operate efficiently and safely.

Hiring Salary: $30.98 – $38.72/hour (commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems.

Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems for compliance with state plumbing codes.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction plans.

Troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and recommend upgrades.

Operate specialized plumbing tools, computerized monitoring, and testing systems.

Perform preventive maintenance, including testing and certifying backflow prevention devices.

Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports.

Train and support apprentices or junior staff as needed.

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other trade specialists.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

At least 5 years of progressively responsible plumbing experience.

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety practices.

Ability to read blueprints, analyze malfunctions, and make sound repairs.

Proficient with plumbing tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

Colorado Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (required).

Valid Colorado Driver’s License.

Cross-Connection and Backflow License preferred.

OSHA safety training certifications a plus.
Working Conditions

Moderate to heavy physical work (lift up to 100 lbs).

Frequent bending, climbing, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

Work performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and confined spaces.

Essential personnel during emergencies or city-declared disasters.
