Position Summary

Tessera is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber I with a can-do attitude to join our Total Facilities Maintenance team at Fort Riley, KS. You will be responsible for plumbing installations, maintenance, repairs, and support of utility systems, all while adhering to high safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems for water, gas, air, sewer, and steam
Clear blockages in interior and exterior drain lines
Repair leaky joints, valves, faucets, and water heating systems
Install and repair plumbing fixtures (commodes, urinals, sinks, showers, dishwashers, etc.)
Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and maintain service records
Read blueprints and schematics
Follow environmental, safety, and code requirements

Qualifications

General plumbing knowledge and ability to use hand/power tools
Ability to read/follow instructions and perform accurate diagnoses
Familiarity with plumbing codes preferred
Strong professionalism, communication, and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Standing, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders, repetitive motion
Must work effectively under pressure and for extended periods

Additional Requirements

Valid state driver’s license (REAL ID or acceptable alternative for military base access)
Must pass background check and E-Verify
Must be a legal U.S. resident and communicate clearly in English
Security clearance and installation access required per government contract
