About the Role

CBRE is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our Engineering & Technical Services team in North Chicago. In this role, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, testing, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical, and distribution systems across a facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, and troubleshoot water and medical gas supply and distribution systems

  • Install water systems, piping, and fixtures following blueprints, drawings, specifications, and codes

  • Maintain waste and vent lines using plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer

  • Perform plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices

  • Train staff on light plumbing maintenance and repair

  • Support contractors and staff with projects or equipment installations

  • Conduct general facility maintenance and respond to plumbing emergencies

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and programs


Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of plumbing experience (equivalent experience may be considered)

  • Journeyman-level plumbing certification required

  • Medical Gas and Backflow certifications preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Supervisory or shift management experience preferred

  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. or more and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, and standing for long periods

  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary up to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
