Position Overview
We are seeking a Plumbing Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot plumbing systems throughout the hotel. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in plumbing codes and standards, capable of innovative problem-solving, and committed to ensuring safe and efficient hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- 
Perform plumbing repairs (clogged drains, copper pipe, washers, handles, drain fittings, etc.)

Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
 - 
Trace and repair various types of water lines
 - 
Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment
 - 
Maintain preventive maintenance and repair records
 - 
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes
 - 
Supervise plumbing projects and provide innovative solutions
 - 
Conduct site inspections to assess systems and recommend improvements
 - 
Assist with cost estimates and proposals
 
Qualifications
- 
High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college coursework preferred
 - 
Minimum 1 year of hotel or related field experience (progressive experience preferred)
 - 
Strong understanding of plumbing codes and repair techniques
 - 
Ability to lift/push/pull heavy objects (50–100 lbs as needed)
 - 
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
 - 
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities
 - 
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative
 - 
Flexible schedule, including long hours when required
 - 
Must adhere to Highgate Hotel Standards, including grooming, uniform, and attendance requirements
