Dock Worker Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker at Dayton Freight, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight while ensuring safety, productivity, and claims-free handling. While this role does not involve working inside a warehouse, you must strategically utilize space when loading freight.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment.

Accurately document and manage freight control processes.

Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and continuous improvement programs.

Maintain flexibility for irregular schedules, alternating shifts, and assigned tasks.

Follow all operational procedures and guidelines as outlined in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Possess basic math skills.

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English fluently.

Must be able to pass a drug screening.
