At Inchcape, we’ve been supporting global trade since 1847. As a Port Agent, you’ll help ensure vessels arrive and depart safely, on time, and in full compliance with port and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities for Port Agent Role:

Deliver exceptional port agency services and meet operational KPIs

Board vessels as required and handle documentation processes

Arrange port services and manage vessel communication with ports and authorities

Provide live updates to customers on berthing and sailing statuses

Coordinate crew changes, spares, bunkering, garbage off-load, and provisions

Handle customs, cargo documentation, and pre-arrival funding processes

Maintain accurate port and terminal information for clients and stakeholders
Your Skills Matter: What We Look for in a Port Agent
This Port Agent position is ideal for candidates with maritime operations experience or a passion for logistics.
Requirements:

Background in maritime, logistics, or port agency (preferred)

Excellent communication and prioritization skills

Calm under pressure, with strong time management

Previous customer-facing experience

Valid UK work eligibility & UK driving license

Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts (day/night/weekends)

Ability to travel independently to/from Fawley terminal

Must not require visa sponsorship
