Position Overview

LMI is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst – Mission Support Specialist to support a federal program office focused on advanced surveillance and infrastructure technologies along U.S. borders. You will directly support the Subterranean (SubT) Portfolio, aiding in planning, acquisition, deployment, and sustainment efforts. This high-visibility position offers a chance to make a real-world impact in border security operations by supporting the life cycle of emerging technologies.


Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Support

  • Manage and track program costs, schedules, risks, deliverables, and performance metrics

  • Coordinate integrated product team (IPT) activities and working groups

  • Develop, review, and maintain key program documents (e.g., SLAs, MOUs, IAAs, SOPs)

  • Assist the COR in reviewing vendor invoices and deliverables

  • Develop and monitor action items, program milestones, and deliverables

  • Support inventory, records, and asset tracking (including radio equipment)

  • Implement reporting frameworks and maintain integrated master schedules

Communication & Documentation

  • Act as program point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage access to MS Teams and maintain updated email distribution lists

  • Create and distribute the SubT newsletter

  • Maintain the SubT Milestone Card and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Prepare reports and responses for internal/external inquiries and audits

  • Provide surge support and meeting coordination, including scheduling and calendar management

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Serve as Concur travel and expense management system SME

  • Coordinate awards and recognition activities

  • Support consistent documentation and serve as librarian for program records

  • Track program expenditures and monitor budget allocations


Qualifications

Required

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a CBP background investigation

  • 3–10 years of administrative or project/program support experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or Information Management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Teams, SharePoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Problem-solving mindset with experience in fast-paced operational environments

  • Familiarity with records management and reporting procedures

Preferred

  • Previous experience supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience with Concur or similar government travel/expense systems

  • Background in program/project management and government contract support

  • Familiarity with government purchase card (GPC) programs

  • Experience drafting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Local or on-site travel may be required on an as-needed basis

  • This position may involve secretarial/administrative tasks to support operational continuity

  • Final compensation is determined by multiple factors, including security clearance, internal equity, and location.
