Join Our Team as a Pre-Surgical Preparation Support Worker
Are you looking for a rewarding healthcare role? We are seeking a Pre-Surgical Preparation Support Worker to join our dedicated team at William Harvey Hospital. In this Band 2 position, you will play a key role in supporting surgical admissions and pre-assessment patients in a clinic setting. This is a rotational role where you will contribute to both admissions and pre-assessment, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care before surgery.
Responsibilities of a Pre-Surgical Preparation Support Worker

Assist in pre-assessment by measuring height and weight, performing MRSA and CPO swabs, recording vital signs, and conducting ECGs and blood tests.

Carry out urinalysis and report any abnormal findings.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Provide administrative support, including completing patient paperwork.

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in line with our hospital’s values.

Undertake training, including the Care Certificate, to enhance your skills.
