Job Overview

Guidepost Montessori at Bee Cave is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher (Children’s House Guide) to lead a mixed-age classroom of children ages 3–6 in a Montessori environment. As a lead educator, you’ll help cultivate independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in each child. Whether you’re an experienced Montessori teacher or an early childhood educator ready to transition into a more intentional, child-centered approach, we want to hear from you.

Montessori certification not required—we offer full training and certification sponsorship!


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a mixed-age classroom of 3–6-year-olds using Montessori principles and curriculum

  • Prepare a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate environment

  • Observe each child’s growth and tailor lessons to meet individual needs

  • Foster independence, focus, and confidence through hands-on, practical experiences

  • Provide individualized instruction in areas like literacy, math, science, and practical life skills

  • Maintain consistent, respectful communication with parents and guardians

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrative staff to build a strong school community

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have experience working with preschool-aged children (3–6 years)

  • Strong communication, observation, and classroom management skills

  • Passion for early childhood education and respect for child-led learning

  • Willingness to learn the Montessori method and undergo certification

Preferred:

  • Montessori Diploma (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited program)

  • Familiarity with Montessori or similar approaches (e.g., Reggio Emilia)
