Platform Engineer – Avant (Chicago, IL – Hybrid)

What You’ll Do
As a Platform Engineer, you will:

Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

Automate and streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.

Collaborate with engineering teams to create scalable, resilient architectures.

Optimize performance and ensure high availability of platforms and services.

Enhance security by implementing best practices in IAM, networking, and containerization.

Continuously improve infrastructure efficiency, observability, and cost-effectiveness.

Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate emerging technologies into our platform.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, Ruby, Go, or Bash.

Experience in cloud computing, infrastructure as code, and DevOps.

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and orchestration tools.

Expertise in CI/CD workflows, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.

Familiarity with AWS services, Helm, Vault, Ansible, and Spacelift.

Experience with Databricks for data engineering and Airflow for workflow orchestration.

Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and observability platforms (Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).

Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize cloud resources.

Compensation: Base salary of $130,000 – $190,000 per year with annual performance-based incentives.
