Role Summary

Veeva’s Nitro team is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to design and build the next-generation infrastructure on AWS. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead the migration of Veeva’s platform, establish a scalable and secure environment, and build automation pipelines from the ground up. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural vision for cloud infrastructure and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Design, manage, and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.

  • Build robust monitoring and observability systems to track performance and minimize risks.

  • Recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in automation, tooling, and distributed systems.

  • Strong expertise in AWS (VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and IaC frameworks.

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Elasticsearch.

  • Must be located in the PST or MST time zone.

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to Have

  • Scripting skills in Bash or Groovy.

  • Experience with artifact management (e.g., Nexus, ECR).

  • Familiarity with Sonar or similar code quality tools.
