Role Summary
Veeva’s Nitro team is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to design and build the next-generation infrastructure on AWS. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead the migration of Veeva’s platform, establish a scalable and secure environment, and build automation pipelines from the ground up. Key Responsibilities

Lead the architectural vision for cloud infrastructure and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

Design, manage, and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.

Build robust monitoring and observability systems to track performance and minimize risks.

Recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security.
Requirements

5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in automation, tooling, and distributed systems.

Strong expertise in AWS (VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, etc.).

Proficiency in Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.

Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and IaC frameworks.

Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Elasticsearch.

Must be located in the PST or MST time zone.

Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
Nice to Have

Scripting skills in Bash or Groovy.

Experience with artifact management (e.g., Nexus, ECR).

Familiarity with Sonar or similar code quality tools.
