Key Responsibilities

Integrate security best practices and tools across the DevOps pipeline to support the secure design, development, testing, and deployment of medical devices and associated software systems.

Create and maintain automated security testing and monitoring solutions to proactively detect and mitigate risks early in the development cycle.

Ensure all systems and workflows meet applicable regulatory requirements, including those from the FDA, ISO, and other governing bodies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—development, QA, and operations—to embed security seamlessly within CI/CD workflows.

Enhance and uphold incident response protocols; contribute to the investigation and resolution of security-related events.

Deploy and manage security monitoring tools to provide ongoing insights into system integrity, generating metrics and compliance reports.

Drive continual improvements to security processes, tools, and standards, strengthening the organization’s overall security posture.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field—or equivalent experience
-
10+ years of experience in security engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with hands-on involvement in CI/CD and automation tooling
-
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and secure coding practices

Proficiency in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
-
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure
-
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform
-
Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, HIPAA)
-
Excellent problem-solving abilities, along with strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a technical discipline

Background in the medical device industry

Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform

C# programming skills for desktop and Azure applications

iOS and Android mobile development experience

Familiarity with Azure PaaS (Platform as a Service) deployments
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $164,000 to $246,000, based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location. This range is subject to change and actual compensation may vary in accordance with internal equity and current market data.
