Centene Corporation, a national healthcare organization serving 28 million members, is seeking an Incident Commander/Coordinator to enhance their cybersecurity team.
Role Overview:
The Incident Commander/Coordinator will lead enterprise-wide incident response efforts, recommend security enhancements, and ensure effective communication across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Incident Commander/Coordinator for major security incidents.
- Recommend enhancements based on after-action reports and threat hunts.
- Collaborate with security architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Integrate third-party threat monitoring and reporting into internal CIRT systems.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain awareness of security breaches and initiate incident response processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
- 6-8 years of related experience or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of threat actor tools, techniques, and processes (TTP).
- Knowledge of indicators of compromise (IOC).
- Experience with endpoint protection and EDR software (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black).
- Knowledge of network and infrastructure technologies (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and security best practices.
- Experience with Cloud Detection and Response technology.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Technical aptitude.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $119,100.00 – $220,500.00 per year.
