Private Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Private Chef to provide nutritious, high-quality meals for patients at our substance treatment facility in Hiawassee, Georgia. The ideal candidate will combine culinary skill with a heart for service and play a vital role in supporting the recovery and wellness of our clients. This full-time position includes daily meal prep, weekend advance prep, and maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare balanced, personalized menus in accordance with dietary needs and restrictions

  • Cook and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday

  • Prepare and store meals in advance for weekend coverage

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen per Georgia state health regulations

  • Monitor and manage kitchen inventory; order fresh, high-quality ingredients from trusted vendors

  • Collaborate with facility staff to coordinate mealtimes and respond to client feedback

  • Continuously improve and adjust menus based on resident health and preferences

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in a healthcare, recovery, or institutional setting

  • Strong understanding of nutrition, food allergies, and dietary planning

  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification required

  • Excellent organizational and kitchen management skills

  • Ability to prepare delicious, healthy meals that support well-being

  • Compassionate, dependable, and able to communicate effectively

  • Must be available for weekday shifts with occasional weekend prep duties
