Warwickshire County Council is hiring three Procurement Officer positions—two permanent and one fixed-term (3 years)—with flexible hybrid working arrangements. Key Responsibilities of a Procurement Officer
As a Procurement Officer at Warwickshire County Council, you will:

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from planning to contract award

Collaborate with clients to develop procurement documentation and evaluation strategies

Publish tenders via our e-tendering platform (In-Tend)

Support contract call-offs through central and external frameworks

Promote effective procurement practices across various departments

Analyze data and prepare reports to support evidence-based decision-making

Respond to procurement-related queries across the organization
Skills & Experience Required for the Procurement Officer Role
To succeed as a Procurement Officer, you should demonstrate:

A background in contract management, procurement, or category/supply chain management

Strong communication and analytical skills

Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders

Experience using e-tendering platforms (such as In-Tend)

A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving

Knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks and regulations
