Product Development Manager – AIG Programs
As a Product Development Manager at AIG, you will oversee the entire product development process, from concept to implementation, ensuring the successful filing, submission, and approval of new or revised products within the Programs Division.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain ownership and knowledge of assigned products/programs.

Collaborate with Underwriting and Program Development teams to analyze, develop, and document products (rates, rules, and forms), focusing on rate/rule manuals and complex forms drafting.

Coordinate product reviews with stakeholders (e.g., Program Managers, Actuarial, Legal) and ensure successful legal review and approval of forms and endorsements.

Lead state filing submissions, acting as a liaison between AIG Programs and the State Filings Department.

Respond to State Insurance Department objections and ensure product approvals align with system implementations.

Research competitor products and market trends, offering guidance on program development and expansion opportunities.

Support manuscript endorsement requests and maintain a comprehensive forms library.

Develop SOPs for product filing and implementation processes.
Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in the insurance industry.

Expertise in Commercial Lines property/casualty insurance products and Programs business.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; insurance designations (CPCU, AU, ARM) are a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and state filing tools (e.g., AM Best, SERFF).

Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Compensation:

Jersey City, NJ: $99,000 – $143,000 base salary.

NYC: $105,000 – $148,000 base salary.

Eligible for performance-based bonuses.
