Product Manager – Essential Functions & Responsibilities

The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in both upstream and downstream marketing, ensuring successful product development, implementation, and market adoption. This role involves gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, developing business cases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Sales Support
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns and strategic plans, while providing direct support to the sales team.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer in product development to ensure customer needs are identified, validated, and met.
  • Partner with General Management, Sales, Regional Sales Managers, and Customer Experience teams to drive key programs and product launches.
  • Work closely with Operations to forecast demand based on customer activity.
  • Design and implement sales training programs, collaborating with Field Trainers, Customer Experience, and Clinical teams to enhance product knowledge and market readiness.
  • Assist in product implementations within customer accounts as needed.
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Sales teams to execute strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives.
Brand Strategy & Market Analysis
  • Support and develop the Tru-D brand strategy within PDI.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, identify market barriers, educational gaps, and unmet needs.
  • Develop and test early commercial concepts for positioning, messaging, branding, and educational platforms.
  • Work cross-functionally to monitor and communicate changes in healthcare policy and competitive landscapes, ensuring alignment with category product lines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with familiarity in Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Experience:
  • 3-7 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, marketing, R&D, or sales within the medical device sector preferred.
  • Experience working in both acute and non-acute healthcare segments is advantageous.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to confidently manage multiple projects and deliver results within set timeframes.
  • Strong prioritization skills to efficiently handle various tasks across teams.
  • Deep knowledge of both upstream and downstream marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with healthcare professionals, sales teams, and R&D departments to drive product innovation and market success.
