Job Description – Product Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, development, and market launch of new products across assigned categories.

  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for existing products, encompassing product positioning, pricing models, promotional initiatives, collateral development, and brand management.

  • Analyze monthly financial performance, identify underlying factors affecting sales or costs, and recommend corrective actions. Develop detailed revenue and expense forecasts supported by marketing plans.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering—to reduce cost of goods through alternative packaging, materials, sourcing, order fulfillment models, and direct-to-customer strategies.

  • Optimize inventory by managing SKU rationalization and minimizing excess stock. May also negotiate pricing with suppliers for raw materials and finished products.

  • Collaborate with vendors to co-develop products, coordinate materials, and train stakeholders on product applications and usage.

  • Prepare bids and analyze opportunities for Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) for designated product lines.

  • Develop training resources and deliver education to internal teams, sales representatives, and clients. Create effective sales enablement tools.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams in launching new products, enhancements, or extensions.

  • Support sales teams in customer conversion efforts by joining field visits, offering product expertise, and providing prompt follow-up support through various channels.


Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, product management, or clinical practice—ideally within the healthcare sector.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reviewing financial data and market trends.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for business purposes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools:

    • Word: Able to manage headers, tables, and formatting.

    • PowerPoint: Skilled in slide design, themes, transitions, and charts.

    • Excel: Proficient in formulas, data sorting, chart creation, and formatting for reports.


Compensation:
Anticipated Salary Range: $79,560.00 – $115,440.00 annually
Actual salary will be based on experience, education, location, skills, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or incentive compensation. Medline complies with all applicable wage laws and will not offer less than the minimum wage or required salary thresholds.
