Product Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role involves overseeing Supermicro’s storage and server product lines throughout the entire product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the development, management, and execution of storage/server products from concept to launch.

• Define product requirements, architecture, and roadmaps to ensure strong market positioning.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and product management teams to align product development with overall company strategy and goals.

• Guide Supermicro’s Storage Design Engineering teams to adopt and integrate critical storage technologies into new and existing products.

• Create and manage project plans for storage products to ensure timely execution.

• Oversee and coordinate product release activities, ensuring milestones are met.

• Forecast product demand and facilitate monthly reviews with procurement, sales, and product management teams.

• Support sales initiatives by driving promotional activities for storage products.

• Monitor and report on product sales performance on a monthly basis.

• Help maintain and update the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with development timelines and business targets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a technical product management or engineering role.

• Strong understanding of server systems architecture with emphasis on enterprise storage hardware/software, including NVMe, RAID, expanders, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, Hadoop, I2C, GPIO, M.2, and U.2 technologies.

• Experience in product design, testing, and new product introduction (NPI) preferred.

• Proven ability to manage schedules and drive time-to-market (TTM) for products.

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver clear and professional communications.

• Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of working both independently and within a cross-functional team environment.

Salary Range:
$89,000 – $150,000 annually
Compensation is based on several factors including location, education, experience, skill set, and internal equity. Candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and equity awards as part of Supermicro’s comprehensive compensation and benefits program.
