Role Statement

The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the Edge Thermal product roadmap, ensuring the portfolio remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with global business targets. This role involves close cooperation with regional teams to capture the Voice of Customer (VoC), translate it into product specifications, and deliver solutions that meet both regional and global needs.

The Product Manager will be a key contributor to the New Product Development (NPD) process—developing business cases, specifications, and other deliverables—while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, PMO, Marketing, Sales, Service, and Quality.

Key Duties

  • Contribute to the Edge Thermal roadmap and define offering strategies to achieve business targets.

  • Partner with regional teams to capture VoC and incorporate feedback into the global product strategy and roadmap.

  • Translate customer requirements into product specifications that align with global and regional business objectives.

  • Develop business cases to justify investments in new product development and demonstrate ROI.

  • Collaborate with regional marketing on product launches, including collateral, training, website updates, and communications.

  • Lead pricing strategy—define, implement, and review pricing to ensure profitability and competitiveness.

  • Own and manage market intelligence—analyze market size, trends, and Vertiv’s share.

  • Support monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • Manage product lifecycle, from introduction to end-of-life.

  • Work with the Solutions team to ensure Edge Thermal products integrate seamlessly into solutions, reflecting their requirements and VoC.

  • Monitor competitors, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and propose product improvements to close competitive gaps.

  • Develop and manage sales enablement tools (CPQ, Configure 1, VSD) to support Edge Thermal solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in Product Management, Application Engineering, or Technical Sales.

  • Background in air conditioning systems, air handling systems, consulting engineering, construction, or maintenance is a plus.

  • Experience working with international teams.

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience or strong interest in product strategy, roadmaps, positioning, and global messaging.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

  • Ability to research, prioritize, and communicate requirements effectively across stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
