About the Role

R1 RCM is seeking a Product Manager II to lead delivery of the product roadmap, manage the backlog, and collaborate across engineering and business teams. In this role, you’ll transform healthcare operations by building technology-enabled solutions that improve patient experience and financial performance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in interpreting business needs, guiding feature development, and ensuring high-value delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop features by interpreting business needs and creating user stories in Agile.

  • Partner with engineering teams to define requirements and priorities.

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing maintenance and new features.

  • Guide stakeholders through feature releases, integrations, and migrations.

  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure delivery quality.

  • Identify and escalate blockers, driving resolution.

  • Balance stakeholder interests, user needs, and product strategy to set priorities.

  • Make trade-offs between scope and schedule, focusing on outcomes.

  • Communicate requests, bugs, priorities, and timelines across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in healthcare, business, engineering, or related field.

  • 2+ years of product management experience.

  • Strong command of Agile fundamentals and execution practices.

  • Understanding of high-level technology paradigms (APIs, data flows, services).

  • Experience collaborating directly with technology leaders and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience, especially in revenue cycle or revenue integrity.

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA).

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
