Job Overview

Join Liberty Mutual’s U.S. Retail Markets Experience and Strategy organization as a Product Owner II, where you’ll help transform and scale reusable, efficient, and personalized service experiences that drive value in every interaction. This role sits within the Insurance Professional portfolio, with two key focuses:

  1. Salesforce Servicing & Agency Preferences (Small Commercial)

  2. Rate/Renewal/Cancellation, Real-Time Guidance, and Service Framework (Personal Lines)

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence product strategy, and own service journeys that impact employees, independent agents, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Servicing & Agency Preferences (Small Commercial):

  • Lead service experience innovation through Salesforce tools to optimize efficiency and call deflection.

  • Define a multi-year roadmap and secure stakeholder buy-in using data and customer insights.

  • Develop a modern, scalable Agency Preferences system, collaborating with Distribution and tech partners to create a seamless agent experience.

Rate/Renewal/Cancellation & Real-Time Guidance (Personal Lines):

  • Own the rate & renewal journey by using intelligent recommendations and gamified experiences.

  • Set vision for real-time guidance and partner with Data Science and Enablement teams to personalize recommendations for agents and customers.

  • Oversee Service Framework technology to ensure a unified experience, including integrations with telephony, claims, and other external systems.

General Product Owner Responsibilities

  • Own the squad/team product backlog and prioritize features for maximum business value.

  • Collaborate on product strategy, KPIs, and delivery milestones across functional teams.

  • Lead agile ceremonies, unblock execution teams, and ensure alignment with broader business goals.

  • Perform market and customer research to drive usability testing and customer-driven design.

  • Manage platform compliance, security (auth/auth), and integration with adjacent services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, technology, humanities, etc.) or equivalent experience.

  • 3–5 years as a Product Owner on agile teams, plus 7+ years in business, tech, or consulting.

  • Strong experience in product strategy, backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and problem solving.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.

  • Insurance industry experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of relevant products or portfolios is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead innovation amid ambiguity.
