Key Responsibilities of a Product Sales Manager

  • Identify prospects, generate leads, and establish decision-maker relationships

  • Travel to customer sites (50% overnight travel) to present solutions and close deals

  • Assist customers in evaluating needs, technical options, and solutions

  • Monitor current and projected market activity to uncover new opportunities

  • Provide insights on customer specifications, sales trends, and competitor activity

  • Generate reports and sales forecasts to support business planning

  • Represent nVent at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings

  • Contribute to marketing strategies and annual revenue forecasts


Qualifications for a Product Sales Manager

  • 3+ years’ experience selling engineered or industrial products

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a technical field preferred

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles

  • Excellent negotiation, sales, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Oracle, and related tools

  • High initiative, independent work style, and customer-first mindset

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
