Remote Production Designer – Design Systems Specialist for Wearable Tech
Top global tech company is seeking a Production Designer with strong Design Systems experience to lead the visual language and user experience for cutting-edge wearable technologies. This fully remote, W2-only role is ideal for designers passionate about building scalable design systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and product quality across multiple platforms. You will play a key role in maintaining the Figma library, defining reusable components, and guiding product teams to implement design patterns effectively.
Responsibilities of a Production Designer – Design Systems Expert
As a Production Designer, your core responsibilities include:

Manage, maintain, and distribute a comprehensive library of design assets.

Create and update component files with detailed specifications.

Document usage guidelines and best practices for design system components.

Collaborate with product designers to explore new component variants.

Maintain templates for core product screens and flows.
-
Support cross-functional process development and task coordination.

Troubleshoot design file issues and ensure visual consistency across platforms.

Conduct audits across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
Collaborating as a Production Designer

Participate in feedback forums and provide design guidance.

Assist in training teams and scaling design knowledge across the organization.

Coordinate design handoffs with engineering and internal tools.

Ensure smooth integration of design systems into live product environments.
Required Qualifications for Production Designer – Design Systems

5+ years of experience in product or systems design.

Proven track record in developing and maintaining design systems.

Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Experience with file management/versioning tools like Dropbox, Google Drive, or GitHub.

Skilled in native platform design (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) and responsive web.

Familiarity with Apple Keynote, Google Slides, and basic HTML/CSS.

Strong communicator with experience training others and advocating design standards.

Detail-oriented with a systems-thinking mindset and adaptable to shifting priorities.

Compensation and Benefits
