Project Accountant – Seattle or San Francisco

Join Perkins&Will in our Seattle or San Francisco office as a Project Accountant! You’ll be a key partner to Project Managers and office leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights to guide project success and office performance. If you enjoy creative problem-solving and making numbers understandable, this role is for you. You’ll be part of the local office management team while connecting with our corporate accounting group.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Project Managers to monitor project financial health (budgets, staffing, profitability).
  • Manage core project accounting functions including client invoicing, AR/AP, collections, and journal entries.
  • Develop financial reports, conduct variance analysis, and provide ad-hoc analysis to support decisions.
  • Handle local business license and tax filings.
  • Support the annual operations plan and corporate accounting requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and studios.

What You Bring:

  • 1-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • A methodical, analytical, and highly organized approach.
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, and adaptability.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or Esker software is a plus.
