POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you ready to step up and lead projects while still rolling up your sleeves to handle the details? We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful Junior Project Manager to join our Landscape Construction team. In this role, you’ll partner with the Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety Leadership (100%)
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Maintain safety compliance reports and foster the Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) mindset.
Project Management (70%)
- Assist in overseeing all phases of landscape construction projects, from initiation to close-out.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Manage procurement plans, permits, and vendor/subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and monitor contract deliverables.
- Represent CSL in site meetings, take accurate minutes, and keep stakeholders informed.
Administrative Oversight (20%)
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including forecasts, invoices, and reports.
- Track and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and other project-related expenses.
- Maintain ERP systems, ensuring accurate data entry and timely submissions.
- Support monthly and annual reporting requirements, aligning with organizational goals.
Leadership Support (10%)
- Act as a key liaison between the project team and senior management.
- Monitor progress, identify roadblocks, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Mentor and support team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on project coordination or management. Experience in landscape construction is an asset.
- Educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Valid G license with a clean driving abstract—because punctual site visits are a must.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a knack for motivating teams and managing client relationships.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus and delivering results.
