Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Design Control Coordinator to manage engineering design activities, coordinate interfaces between project teams, and facilitate engineering work planning. The role involves daily/weekly collaboration with multiple engineering teams, developing detailed schedules for design control packages, and supporting teams in forecasting resources and activities to meet project milestones.
Key Responsibilities

Manage schedule logic and interfaces for design control package activities within the Plant Delivery design team and external linked design teams.

Support fiscal year schedule, resource, and budget planning.

Implement and manage modifications to high-level engineering schedules, facilitating approvals for new or emerging activities.

Break down high-level engineering tasks into discretized activity schedules across multiple design teams.

Coordinate technical integration meetings and status updates.

Track team assignments, manage resource leveling, and provide weekly resource forecasting.

Develop and refine standard design activity sequences for current and future design phases and procurement activities.

Gather status reporting from design teams and provide periodic updates to engineering leaders, identifying potential resource or timing issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.S. or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline.

Experience: 4+ years in project management of engineering activities (nuclear, energy, infrastructure, or aerospace fields).

Certifications: PMP preferred.

Strong knowledge of technical schedule management, project reporting, logic sequences, and resource forecasting.

Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent; Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) a plus.

Familiarity with design control and configuration control principles desired.

Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams with minimal direction.

Capable of handling projects with competing objectives and constraints, resolving conflicts between priorities.
